I Watched STAR WARS: RISE OF SKYWALKER Three Times. Here's What Happened

Gambar
Find out what happened when I watched Star Wars: Rise of Skywalker  three times. This started out as a fairly straightforward review of the latest Star Wars movie. But it turned into something else after I watched it again. And something more when I watched it for the third time. So here's my breakdown of all my thoughts after each viewing. SPOILER WARNING First Watch of  Star Wars: Rise of Skywalker Rating: 2 1/2 out of 5 stars I absolutely love Star Wars . I love Star Wars so much I made an exhaustive (now outdated) chart about all the changes to the movies. I've watched them too many times to count. So the movie that would supposedly end the decades-long series captured my imagination. I like  Force Awakens , I'm not a hater of The Last Jedi , but I hate Solo . So you could call me a diehard Star Wars fan and an avid moviegoer. Walking into the theater Rotten Tomatoes score was fresh in my mind. I saw tweets of critics and comments from others trashing the movi...

New STAR WARS: RISE OF SKYWALKER TV Spots Reveal Carrie Fisher and Jedi Mind-Tricks

Gambar
The next Star Wars movie arrives in less than three weeks and Lucasfilm has released a few new television spots for the movie. They include Rey ( Daisy Ridley ) using a Jedi mind-trick, flying stormtroopers and the new footage of the red-armored Sith-Troopers. One of the biggest moments is the one which shows Carrie Fisher holding Luke's lightsaber. It was created using unused footage from the previous films and is achingly beautiful with Carrie Fisher's death. Seeing her holding the last remnants of the Jedi Order is incredibly powerful. Director J.J. Abrams returned to the trilogy after working on The Force Awakens . The commitment not to use the digital creation of the actress led to some unexpected moments. "There are scenes where she’s interacting with other characters in a way that is uncanny," Abrams told Total Film (via SlashFilm ). "Hopefully, if it works, it will be an invisible thing and if you didn’t know, you would never know. But we got to tell t...

Gambar
Read on to find everything you may not have noticed in the last trailer for Star Wars: Rise of Skywalker. Last night during the halftime of Monday Night Football Disney released the "final" trailer for the movie. While there will doubtless be dozens of commercials and clips in the next few months this is apparently the last theatrical trailer for the last movie in the Star Wars trilogy. From daggers to droids here are a few things you may not have noticed in the new Star Wars movie trailer. Warning: Possible Spoilers 1. Ruins of the Death Star The trailer starts with Rey (Daisy Ridley) running through a jungle planet. Many assume it's Endor but a Monopoly game reveals it's a new planet named Ajan Kloss. She drops a helmet with a blast shield. Perhaps from training like Luke had done in A New Hope . But the next set of shots are from the ruined interior of the Death Star. We can recognize the reactor tubes from the movie. Seeing her jumping around reminds us of her ...

Star Wars: The Last Jedi (2017) - Rey (Daisy Ridley) An image of Rey from the  Star Wars movie is prompting a reaction that Pablo Hildago describes as "mad and nude". On September 16, 2019, the official Twitter account posted an image of Rey, played by Daisy Ridley,  holding a lightsaber with the caption "Something inside me has always been there. But now it's awake". "Something inside me has always been there. But now it's awake." pic.twitter.com/RGQ3qywzLm — Star Wars (@starwars) September 16, 2019 The photo shows Rey against a blue sky holding her lightsaber in a reverse grip. Many assumed it's a photo from Star Wars Episode 9 , but it's actually from Star Wars: The Last Jedi  and reused with a new caption for the marketing campaign. The quote is a line from Star Wars: Episode VIII  when she's talking to Luke Skywalker played by Mark Hamill . The full quote is "Something inside me has always been there... but now it's awa...
