ICYMI: Spider-Man's Drinking Problem, Lady Gaga in MCU, Black Widow Villain Revealed and More

Gambar
Who might Lady Gaga be playing in the MCU? Why aren't Vulture and Scorpion in Spider-Man2? What movies inspired Stranger Things season 3? Which villain has been spotted on Black Widow? How does Tom Holland drink? We can't always cover everything. So here's everything you missed this morning Friday, June 28, 2019. In Case You Missed It (ICYMI) Above Image : Tom Holland can't take off his mask. So he drinks water from a straw stuck in his mask. He says he can eat and drink too. |  Huffington Post 1. SPIDER-MAN: FAR FROM HOME Director Reveals Why The Vulture And Scorpion Don't Return In The Movie | Comic Book Movie  "We never really found the right moment to do something like that. It's always just about it being right for the story and not just some sort of shoehorned-in cameo," he explained. "But I do love the idea that they're both still out there, and I like the idea that as we move forward with these films, we're building out this rich

How SPIDER-MAN: FAR FROM HOME Can Fix the MCU's Interracial Relationship Problem

Gambar
Spider-Man: Far From Home (2019) - Peter Parker / Spider-Man (Tom Holland) Spider-Man: Far From Home is coming to theaters and with it the very first interracial relationship in the MCU. This is a problem. For all the studio's promises of diversity, they've fallen way short in this area. First, they took forever to bring one in. Then they dropped it. Finally, they've shoe-horned one into the movies without explanation. Mixed couples were literally illegal at one time. Now the numbers have expanded to about 15% in the US. As recently as the 1960s, movies with interracial love stories faced boycotts and banning in parts of the U.S. They're getting more common every day and commercials and movies have been showing them more and more. Despite that, the Marvel movies have been unusually devoid of them. It's worth noting that Marvel Studios has had a problem with romantic relationships for its entire run. Of the few pairings, most have been hit with the ridiculous stick

Review: Action Comics #1012 Story is Slow but the Art is Great

Gambar
Action Comics #1012 cover by Jamal Campbell Read this review to find out if Action Comics #1012 is worth buying If you want to avoid spoilers for this comic then skip to the overall section at the end. Warning: Spoilers for Action Comics #1012 This Superman comic opens with a faux social media account that includes a tongue-in-cheek reference to Aquaman 2  ("to be mostly water ballet") and a conversation between Clark Kent and Jimmy Olsen. Then it cuts to crime boss Mr. Strong and his men talking about Superman's fight with Red Cloud and how it ended with him retreating. They discuss the ramifications of the "Invisible Mafia" known as Leviathan and how it affects their business. Bendis finds a clever way to keep the comic about Superman even though he's traveling all over the planet for the Leviathan cross-over story. Throughout the comic, they constantly refer to him traveling across the globe and off it. It's an interesting plot device and it works. T

ICYMI: Steven Seagal as Batman, STAR WARS IX Japanese Title and Samuel L. Jackson's Poster Hate

We can't always cover everything. So here's everything you missed this afternoon Tuesday, June 25, 2019 1. Steven Seagal Was Considered for ‘Batman’ Before Michael Keaton Landed the Role | /Film “There were a lot of people at Warner Brother who wanted to cast it with an action star. They wanted to cast the part as Batman, as opposed to casting it as Bruce Wayne. You have to make Bruce Wayne work, because Batman is, for the most part, going to be a stunt guy, or it’s going to be somebody running around in a costume in long shot. You don’t need the martial arts expertise of, say, Steven Seagal or somebody like that because you can fake all of that kind of stuff. Seagal was one of the people that was suggested to us.” 2. Review: Avengers Endgame Quantum Realm T-Shirt by Black Leather Jackets

Gambar
Black Leather Jackets sent us a shirt for review. While the styling is nice, the fabric is not what I expected. Black Leather Jacket sent us a shirt styled after the "Quantum Realm" suits seen in Avengers: Endgame . It was used to allow the team to go back in time. It also helped to set the movie apart from the previous films.  "We call them the team suits. And we early on decided [revealing them] was a big differentiating factor between [Endgame] and the other films," Marvel Studio head Kevin Feige told io9 . "The Avengers have never had matching outfits before, [so] we thought it was a very intriguing image to see something that made this film feel new. [We had to] make it feel more than just Infinity War II. Because it’s not. Those team suits add something fresh to it. As does Hawkeye, as does Captain Marvel. As does Scott Lang. All of whom were not in Infinity War, hence Scott Lang and Hawkeye being revealed in that first trailer, and Captain Marvel in the

SPIDER-MAN FAR FROM HOME: The Returning Spider-Man Actor You Need to Know

Gambar
Rumors suggest an actor from the Sam Raimi films may be coming to the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU). This could be a major spoiler so I'll put the full details after the warning banner but a major character from the comic books and the Tobey Maguire Spider-Man trilogy may be coming to the MCU. We don't post a lot of rumors, but this one is very exciting. A lot of source material from the comics has been brought to the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Characters like Aunt May and putting Peter Parker in high school are straight from the early comics. But one character has been suspiciously absent: J. Jonah Jameson. He's the publisher of the newspaper Peter takes pictures for named "The Daily Bugle". The character was co-created by Stan Lee and Steve Ditko and he first appeared in The Amazing Spider-Man #1 (1963). J.J. hates Spider-Man and launches a full-on media attack on the web-slinger. J.J. serves as a major antagonist for Peter and Spider-Man since he fought wit
